Our trip through Spain, southern Portugal and Morocco was the first major trip after the car purchase and was intended to try everything out. Although we came back with a long list of ideas and comments, overall the trip went very well. As we were sitting inside almost every night because of the weather it was a great exercise of living for six weeks with two people on about two square meters. The conclusion was that it went actually quite well if you (1) are very disciplined in putting away stuff you no longer use, (2) have a strict division of labor, and (3) do not try to do something with two people at the same time. Since we had no off-road experience (the main reason to be back in mid-March was an off road training in Fürstenau), we have almost always used paved roads in Morocco.
